Just moved into STC this week and life is fabulous here. The admin time is utterly insane and all the commanders are really nice. Love the balance that this course provides between practical skills like supply chain management and also traditional army experiences such as underslung and Ops phase. BMTC food is better though but we have access to mess here, which has its pros and cons. While we can snack away when we get hungry, it is really important to watch our spending since it is now way too convenient to overspend at the mess. Currently I am looking to either be posted to airforce or a unit that allows me to go overseas often. But my security clearance is really low so it will affect my chances of entering airforce. Wonder whether it’s worth it to be an instructor at STC, enjoying the 8-5 life but missing out on many experiences.
A minor downside is that lectures are seriously boring and it would be better if we get more hands-on experiences.
Looking to spend my time here wisely too like read and learn new skills such as Java. Was recently notified of being shortlisted by NUS for an interview so will see how that goes. Kind of nervous and still unsure of the dress code, but hope I do well.
